2 students read the same novel. For an example i will use Johnny Tremain by Ester Forbes. Once the students have read the book in their literature class they divide into partners based on good/bad review of the book. Students then type some of their key points on whether they liked the book or did not like the book. Each student is given a Flip camera. They find a quiet area to discuss the book. They may use their key points noted to respond to a point that their partner has made. They use the Flip camera to record their partner as they debate the book. Once they have video footage, they plug each camera into a computer. They trim the vidoes so they go point by point and they edit them so they 2 video clips become 1 movie switching back and forth between the partners as they have their debate.
