Students choose a country based on their likes and preferences, or their background. In-depth research occurs after using a variety of websites such as the CIA website, Noodlebib, Nationalanthem.com, etc. along with Google, Wikipedia, and Bing.

Research areas include a phyiscal map, food, population, manufactured goods, weather, interesting facts, country flag, religion, etc.

Students then write a rough draft of the report on lined paper, to then be transcribed to a Microsoft Word Document, complete with editing and the revision process.

After, students create a Microsoft Power Point presentation using their report as a guideline. They are encouraged to add a variety of images off of Google Images representing the food, people, and culture of the country.

Students save their date on a flash drive so the report can be worked on at home with parents as well.

Later, students present their country reports using a flash drive and a projector screen to the entire 6th grade.

The reports are also turned into an interactive mobile to be displayed for Open House.
