School: St Pius X High School, Albuquerque, NM

Part of the "real life experience" I try to bring into my classroom involves creating a presentation on Microsoft PowerPoint. This lesson plan is designed so that every student, no matter what their learning abilities are, can create a slide show presentation.
Students are to explain how to do a certain task using 10 slides. For example, how to tie your shoe, how to start a car, etc. Students are required to have pictures, text, and animation on every slide (including the title slide). Students are allowed to use the internet to gather information and images for the topic they choose but, students are encouraged to take their own pictures of them performing the task--step by step.
In the end, they will feel confident that they have created their own slideshow.
