Teach Me Math!

1. Students choose a mathematical concept that has been previously taught and that they have mastered.
2. Students are given the opportunity to work out ideas on how to present their mathematic concept.
3. Students are given a rubric, indicating all areas that need to be covered in their video in addition to guidelines on what makes a good video and mathematical manipulative requirement.
4. Students present their mathematic concept to the class.
5. The class scores the presentation using a rubric (including clarity, accuracy, creativity, etc.)
6. Using the rubrics, students refine or change their presentation.
7. Upon completion, each group videos their mathematical presentation using their assigned FLIP cam.
8. Each group downloads their video presentation.

*In subsequent lessons, students will copy downloaded videos to DVD for home use. Students will also organize and copy their FLIP lesson to each classroom computer for school use.
