My class is an enthusiastic group of learners who are eager to learn despite the many socio-economic and environmental challenges they face each day. My students love when I use the computer to conduct my lessons. They are truly engaged when I put things up on the screen. They are actively participating in the lessons when they can come up to the computer and help with the them. They are growing up in techno world and deserve all of the opportunities that I can offer them in spite of the education cutbacks. My Project: My school has a technology focus but has been hurting with all of the cutbacks especially in technology. I believe technology is an important part of my teaching in order for these students to be successful in the future. I am asking for a SMART Wireless Slate to use in my classroom. This device will allow me the opportunity to roam throughout the room and have the students participate easily in the lessons being conducted on my computer. Technology is growing each day. My students deserve every opportunity they can especially in technology. It is my responsibility to allow them the opportunity to compete in the ever changing world of technology. Your donations will allow my students just that. You can help make a difference in students' lives for years to come.
