Day One: Students are asked to brain storm their favorite movies that include special effects, monsters or animation. Then for homework, they were asked to look up their movie on-line and research the principle artists until they found with a reputation on-line that included a wesite and biogrphy.

Week One: Students will spend 3 days at computers writing their biographies, paraphrasing what they discovered about their artists. Title Page includes one copy/paste image from movie, and final pages following 5-paragraph report include four copy/pasted images from artists' repertoire and one drawn work inspired by the artist's art.
Week Two: Students will develop a short video using iMovie. The film will include three original characters they created in a previous unit about claymation, a background from images found on-line, and music as a background. Bubbles will be used for diablogue, since audio equipment is not available.
Week Three: Students will present their works.

Comments
I do not have digital cameras, video cameras, or audio equipment, so everything will be taken from on-line resources.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
This unit will involve language arts practices and technology practices.
It can be adapted to a history lesson.
And a music teacher could be included in a team teaching experience during the final week.
Follow-Up
I would like to follow up with a favorite movie amongst the students.
