1. Students will read and record a selected passage while a partner is listening.
2. Students will listen to the recording and assess how fluent their reading was using a checklist.
3. The students will establish a goal to improve the next reading.
4. The student will reread and rerecord the reading selection keeping the new goal in mind.
5. The students will then compare both recordings and list any improvements between the first and second.
6. The students will then write a new goal for their next fluency reading.
7. Partners will switch roles.
