School: Pownal Elementary School, Pownal, VT
Planned By: Becky Gijanto
Original Author: Becky Gijanto, Pownal
Library students in grades 4 - 6 will be researching and creating a Google presentation about a famous person they have selected. They will conduct research utilizing the libraries subscription databases.

There are eight slides for an individual presentation including a title slide and a resource slide. For the 4th and 5th grades students will be contributing a single slide with important facts about their chosen individual.

Each presentation requires at least one digital image per slide. Students will chose digital images for their slides that represent the information portrayed in that slide.

When complete these presentations will be uploaded onto the class webpage on the Library website. Teachers, students and administrators will be viewing the presentations and assessing these projects via a simple rubric for design, content and creativity.
Comments
This clip art subscription would create thousands of applications in our school It is very difficulty to locate and find digital images that do not have copyright requirements. This would allow students the freedom to express their learning and understanding utilizing these clip art images freely without concern.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Our computer lab could also use this application with classes each week on a myriad of topics and applications.
Follow-Up
I would fully utilize clip art with technology integration in at least grades 4 - 6. Other applications would combine the Smartboard and lessons creations for children in grades K - 3 as well.
