During an afternoon technology program open to all students, student groups will create scenarios to teach varied Math concepts. Students will create and practice the scenarios, and video record their productions after teacher approval.
The Math videos will provide engaging teaching lessons for younger students who view the videos. We hope the videos will foster a greater understanding of the Math concept, to produce greater confidence, and result in higher student achievement scores.
As the student groups create scenarios to teach Math concepts, these students will interact with the concept repeatedly. This will reinforce the concept for those students creating the videos. We hope this will solidify Math concepts for these students, who will then experience greater confidence in their Math ability, with resulting higher student achievement now and in future endeavors. |
