Using a set of iClickers students will respond to questionnaires about bullying before each lesson. Students may feel more comfortable giving feedback when they learn that the answers will appear anonymously.
After students respond, the teacher, librarian, and guidance counselor will move forward with the main lesson.
Part One: What is Bullying/Cyberbullying Students will define bullying and cyberbullying Students will identify the different types and formats of bullying
Part Two: Where Does Bullying/Cyberbullying Happen Students will be aware of options to take when they are experiencing or witnessing bullying Students will know the many reasons why a person would bully another person
Part Three: Feelings Students will discover their own feelings behind bullying and learn Students will identify confident behavior Students will understand the importance of being friendly to others
Discussion Points will include definitions of terms such as tolerance, leadership, peer pressure, confidence, identify alternative behaviors through role-playing, solving problems using various scenarios, and working in groups to create mini-plays or presentations about bullying or cyberbullying |
