Procedure: The students will form groups of 3(There are 24 students in the class). Each group will be given 5 of the 20 vocabulary words. Therefore there will be 2 different versions of each word. The groups will be instructed to produce a way for the class to remember the vocabulary word. The students should use a humorous way to help the class recall the definition of the words they are given. The groups can use art, technology and creative writing to produce their humorous vocabulary definitions. The class will be given two class periods to produce their work. Upon completion the groups will present their definitions to the class. The students will vote on the best definition for each word. The teacher will reproduce the group definitions in a study guide for the students to use. The students will complete an evaluation form to give feedback on the group activity.
