Mastery Objective: Students will be able to effectively summarize the quarter project by creating a brief informative Breaking News video on an iPad.

The students have been working on a project in their teams for weeks, completing phases week by week. The outcome of the project will be the announcement of a criminal who has contaminated a source of nutrition at the school with a bacteria that has infected those who came in contact with it. Through a series of tasks, the students have been able to narrow the suspects down by using symptoms, genetic diseases, and genetic traits.

In order to present these conclusions in a controlled but engaging environment, each student team will create a short video announcement to announce the Breaking News of who the criminal is! They will complete this task using the Videolicious app on iPads. This application allows students to record and edit brief films as wel as add images, voiceovers, and music. The application puts a time limit on the videos, which will present a challenge for the students to only present relevant information but to also provide evidence for their claim.

When all films are complete, the class will watch each film and each team will receive a grade based on a rubric.

Criteria for Success-
The video will include:
1. Announcement of who the criminal is from the choice of suspects
2. Summary of process used to determine the culprit
3. Appropriate evidence for the audience to get on board with the claim
