Level 1 Curriculum
• Introduction to Robotics
o Building using LEGO NXT and Lego Mindstorm
o Programming using NXT-G system
o Use of servo motors
o Use of Touch, Sound, Light, and Ultrasonic sensors
Learning Objectives
Students will develop an understanding of the core concepts of technology, such as input/output systems, and interrelation of hardware and software. Students will learn the basics of engineering design as it applies to the LEGO Mindstorms NXT system. Students will develop teamwork skills through group activities of 3-4 students on a team. Students will learn to build simple programs using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT-G software and interactive SMART Board.

Level 2 Curriculum
• Introduction to Odometry
o Use of Color sensor
o Use of Rotation sensor
o Use of multiple sensors in the same program
Learning Objectives
Students will develop the ability to use multiple sensors within a single NXT-G program. Students will learn to understand the necessity of different types of sensors, and develop the ability to determine the best sensor necessary for a given task. Students will learn how to direct a robot through programming: They will specify traveled distance. They will return the robot to its point of origin. They will adjust their programming based on the diameter of the robot's wheels.
