Mythology Jeopardy (Adapted from a template by OKTechMasters & Sara Duncan, online resource).
Unit: Introduction to Greek Mythology Grade Level(s): 9-12 Purpose:To introduce new content and build on previous knowledge of Greek Mythology. Time Frame: 50 minutes
Goal – Objective: 1. Students will be able to identify and analyze archetypical stories of Greek Mythology to prepare for the Mythology curriculum. 2. Students will use previous knowledge to actively participate in an interactive game of “Mythology Jeopardy” and work as a team to correctly answer Greek Mythology trivia.
Method: Students will actively participate in the “Mythology Jeopardy” game.
Resources needed: Students will use the PowerPoint “Mythology Jeopardy” to display the game board on the eInstruction board. This is done by using the projector. The students can run the game board using the technology. The teacher would only act as a guide and facilitator. The students will run the game independently, allowing for cooperative learning.
Assessment: At the game’s completion, they will reflect in a written response using the writing method of “What? So what? Now what?” This will allow them to not only retain the information presented in the game, but be in charge of their own experience by relaying what they learned, why they learned it, and how they will use the information in the future.

We currently are in need of projectors for the English Department. We have working eInstruction boards, however, our projectors are failing and the school district is financially unable to replace them. |
