Promoting a Smoke Free Environment

Using the Paper app (http://www.fiftythree.com/paper) on their iPad and the Pencil (http://www.fiftythree.com/pencil), students will add to their Tobacco Journal. In the vocabulary section they are to add the terms environmental tobacco smoke, mainstream smoke, and sidestream smoke. After reading Lesson 3 of Chapter 21 in their textbook students will create a poster in their journal that will help promote an anti-tobacco campaign in their community. Demonstration of chapter 21 vocabulary terms and concepts discussed throughout the chapter should be evident. Students may work in small groups to brainstorm ideas but each student should have original work in their journal.
