Students will learn basics of a science concept that is to be learned, such as Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition. They will research using videos, textbooks, and articles.

Students will then work in small groups of 3 - 5 students and brainstorm important topics within the concept to present to the class.

Students will then create a Microsoft PowerPoint multi-media presentation and an online "quiz"/"survey" using Kahoot.it. They will include questions, answers, and images.

Groups will present their topic to the rest of the class. They will connect to the Interactive Whiteboard using their electronic devices such as Smart Phones and/or tablets.

After the presentation, the students will sign on to Kahoot.it and launch their quiz/survey using electronic device. The other students will sign in to Kahoot.it with their electronic devices. The students will input the pin code and a nickname. Once all have signed in, the quiz/survey will begin. The questions and answers show up on the Interactive Whiteboard. Each of the answers have geometric icons that will show up on their electronic devices, requiring the students to look at the interactive whiteboard to see the questions and answer choices.
After the quiz/survey is over, the students give a rating.

Students will be given a higher order question about the topic by the teacher and use the Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning model to answer the question by typing a short essay answer on Edmodo using their tablets.

Teacher will assess learning using a presentation rubric, C.E.R. rubric, and recording the scores of the other students who participate in the quiz/survey.
