MUSIC VISIONS SPRING RESEARCH PROJECT

Sent Home:
Project Due Date:
Details: The students will research the culture and music of Africa on the computer (in class and/or at home), complete the attached information sheet, and create a presentation for the class to be given on ______________. Students should include visuals and/or recordings (if available) of their chosen country.
During class, students will use several websites (see list below) to access basic information such as population, colors, landmarks, culture, etc. Students should attempt to listen to music from the country and provide a brief description of the music. Other websites may be used as well, WHILE RESEARCHING AT HOME, but parents are asked to monitor their student’s use of the Internet when completing research at home.
Students are encouraged to be creative with their presentations! A projector and stereo system (with IPOD connection) will be available for students who wish to use them.
Please sign and return the bottom portion of this form by ________________. Also, please email me with any questions: _____________________________. We look forward to viewing examples of your student’s creative giftedness soon!
