Social "art"ivism - Computers in art to breed creativity and critical thinking Page Views: 349
|
Day one: Students will be exposed to art that is focused on changing a societal issue. Students will debate, discuss and interpret the artwork. They will search for art that discusses an issue that they are passionate about.
Students will begin to brainstorm issues in their society and design artwork that will address those issues.
Day 2-3: Students will work together to plan and design their ideas in class.
Day 4-5: Students will contact local artists through email and websites to ask for feedback on their designs. They will implement any changes and advice from local artists (possibly world-wide artists). Hopefully we can involve a local artist in the art making process.
Day 6: Students will use Google forms to create a voting platform for the entire school to vote on the best designs.
Days 7-10: The students who created the designs with the highest votes will create teams to execute their designs.
Day 11: Students will create a website to promote their artwork and start a community of social "art"ivism.
This lesson will continue every semester. |
