Fonts Too SmallCan't Change Fonts Can not change the font size of names. Hard to read even on a 4.3 inch screen. Planetarium for palm was much better 10 years ago.

Annoying, yet pretty eye candy, but not much else. This is not a serious astronomy app. (For that, wait for the upcoming Sky Safari or install the beta.) This is pure frosting with little substance. Sky Chart is a step up from Google Sky Map, however, its size is a serious issue. Beyond the problems people are having with it downloading and installing, Star Chart CONSTANTLY has to reload when switching apps. It's not a minor wait; it's basically a full reload of the app. That's just sloppy. (This doesn't happen with any other similarly sized program.) There is no landscape menu. If you're using it in landscape mode, you'll have to rotate the phone again if you activate the menu. Also, the menu does not appear in Night Mode and the Lat/Long is jumbled together. It's definitely worth a dime, but man, this is disappointing if you've ever used a REAL astronomy program.

Great, except...@NunyaBiznis - easy, Tiger, folks have App2SDed into a lather, you can have gigabytes free and it still fails. You can clear app cache, Dalvik cache, and anything else... whether it's a Market problem or a Star Chart problem, it seems to be prevalent on *this* version of *this* app. Successful workaround: o Uninstall Market updates (Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Market - Uninstall Updates) o Install the Star Chart update (via Market) o Google for the Market update (search "update market android") and re-install to the latest version (3.3.12 as of today). o Sit back and enjoy the update to a great application (Star Chart, not Market :-) ) Success.

doesn1t work on Galaxy SThe same issue as Apsiet, running android 2.3,.3 on Galaxy S. "I can't install this app on my Galaxy S running android 2.3.6! It keep saying that I don't have enough space to install despite having ~1.4GB left for internal storage and ~2GB left on external storage. My $0.10 is gone!!" So what? Is there an upgrade for Galaxy S?

Fix your app.Cleared lots of space (45 megs) so that it would finally install. Then it took up 30 megs or so, but it wasn't listed as being in phone memory. Titanium Backup couldn't find the space it took up either, as I was planning on simply moving it to the SD card. I missed 3 texts due to lack of space due to this program. Blah!

Installation Errors --> Explanation*Non-technical* ... Suppose the phone needs to install an app. During the install, It needs a workshop table to hold all the parts. It always wants to use a table with a GREEN tablecloth. My phone ships from the factory with a GREEN tablecloth on a small table, and a RED tablecloth on a big table. The app won't fit on the GREEN table cause the table is too small. Solution? Become a power user and interchange the tablecloths. Now retry the install. The app will now fit on the GREEN tablecloth (it always wants GREEN) which is now on the big table. After the install, reboot your phone. During start up the phone will put the GREEN tablecloth on the small table, and the RED tablecloth on the big table. This is the way it's designed to work even though it's sometimes causes a problem with app installs. Note: Some phone models ship from the factory with the GREEN tablecloth already normally on the big table. *Technical* ... The problem is usually caused by the /cache filesystem being too small. Unmount it and mount it onto another very big part of the sdcard. Then retry the install, which will almost certainly work. Then reboot.

Updated fine. The space issue is an Android system problem that they still haven't fixed. Stop giving one star reviews to a fine, albeit large, program. Use App2SD

Great app@Apiset This is a problem with the new Android Market, not the app itself. I reverted back to an earlier version of Market (pre-3.0) and have been able to download all apps.

Are you having issues installing? This happens to me as well sometimes when installing large apps when I know I have plenty of room. As I can't root my phone with 2.3.4, I've only found one solution that works. Go into your app manager, uninstall the updates for Market, so that it takes you back (at least until it auto-updates again) to the old green market. Go into "My Apps" and try installing again. This has worked for me every time.
