Excellent appIf you have the Galaxy Nexus and the app doesn't fill the screen, go into your phone's developer options and disable forced GPU rendering.

Love it!It's great to finally have an official TED app. I'm sure little issues common in an initial release will get ironed out. Adding the Inspire Me feature from the iOS version would make this a 5 star app!

LandscapeLandscape orientation in the main window of the app would be very nice. Also syncing between mobile app and the website would be great, allow you to bookmark on the go and watch at a later date.

Requires rating and commentsHard to find genuine deeply researched education. Mostly based on untested, unproved ideas and theories and has the audacity to constantly make one liner derogatory remarks against anything religious. Les talk, more wisdom please.

TED Talks only if you watch.The content is great and the app itself is fine. The only thing that is missing is the ability to just listen to the talks like a podcast vs. having to watch it. Granted some of the talks do have this but it should be all of them. I think anyone paying attention would agree that any flavor of 4g is a scam in terms of either data charges or coverage so c'mon TED and stop being stupid in how you deliver content and make that delivery a much more accessible one.

Always runs in backgroundNice idea, BUT app constantly runs in background. I changed app settings to not allow and force close it and it still runs. Uninstalling till problems are fixed.

Needs subtitlesBrilliant way to spend time on commutes. Pro is that it allows you to download in the background. Con is the lack of subtitles, hence one less star. Its a deal breaker for now, forcing me to use unofficial apps.

IncredibleContent is unmatched, but you can find it on YouTube as well. That shouldn't decrease ratings because this app is extremely stable, simple and has an intuitive interface that supports multiple screen orientations, etc. It accurately modifies resolution based on download speed and is extremely lightweight and responsive.

Constant force closuresEven when not running the app it pops up every 12hrs or so with a force close. Why is it even trying to run when I haven't opened it? Baffling.

AmazingThis app is just awesome. Great interface coupled with great performance makes it brilliant. Ability to download audio instead of watching makes it even better.
