Students will be introduced and research what a public service announcement (PSA) is. At this time students will be given a rubric. After students have completed their research and chosen one, they will form into to groups made up of 4 students. Within each group each student will try to persuade the others why their PSA should be used. After deciding on the final PSA, students will begin to storyboard. (The process of filming, storyboarding and using the cartoon modeling clay will have been reviewed prior to this assignment.) Having completed their storyboard, students will begin creating the characters of the PSA and the backgrounds. Students will begin taking the pictures. Upon completion students will import them into the computer to begin creating the movie. At this time, students may edit their still photos.
