Math scavenger hunt... Page Views: 1042
|
Students, armed with digital camaras, will take a walking field trip to identify geometric an other mathematics visible close to their school. They will then return to the classroom and prepare a group collage highlighting their findings. Then, separating by theme, the photos will be implemented in lesson designs the students collaborate with the teacher on for use with the whiteboard. |

Cross-Curriculum Ideas |
This activity can also be used to build vocabulary. |
Follow-Up |
A scavenger hunt could be developed and published to engage earlier students. This could be sent home as a challenge to other students and a way of looking at their town in a new way. |
