Focus: After reading an Audrey Wood book in the reading text, Display the book Silly Sally. Discuss any comparisons of the covers. Discuss vocabulary and use the words in story context.

Activities: Read the story Silly Sally, discussing the character traits of each character as they appear. Review the sequence of events at the completion of reading.

Respond: Have the students draw themselves as a character in the story. They should describe their clothing and appearance in detail. Draw your character.

Integration: Using a digital camera, take pictures of the children standing with their arms and legs outstretched. Print the pictures, cut them out and glue them in a setting UPSIDEDOWN. Make a class book with the pictures.
