Mrs. Kinney
PROJECT DUE DATE: TBA (sometime in early May)

You will be completing a project and presentation over an approved novel of your choosing. This presentation and project will count as your final exam grade. Be sure to do your best and be creative, informative and conclusive. You will need to complete the following:
o One of the following:
„X Movie trailer advertising your novel as an up and coming movie; post it on youtube and give me the link to show to the class
„X Create a life-sized model of your favorite character(s). Dress the character(s) as he or she would appear in the novel. Your model needs to have note cards attached to it with important characteristics your character possesses and why each is important within the story.
„X Newscast reporting the crime and resolution from the book (at least 3-5 minutesˇXvideotape or post on youtube)
„X ˇ§Movieˇ¨ of the novel (at least three key scenes); you may include friends and classmates in the movie
„X Dress up and act as one of the characters. Tell your ˇ§story.ˇ¨
„X Write and perform an original song that tells the story of the book. You can do this live or post it on youtube.
„X Scrapbook of the main character with a detailed description of each item and its significanceˇXthis is not a ˇ§throw together at the last minuteˇ¨ kind of project. It should be very detailed and give your audience an insight into the character.
o Test questions over your novel (include answers)ˇXyour test must consist of at least 15 questions and may be made up of multiple choice, true/false, matching, essay, or any combination of these
o Design an advertising campaign to promote the sale of the book you read. Include a poster, a radio or TV commercial, and a magazine or newspaper ad. Also, you will be presenting your ˇ§campaignˇ¨ to the class to convince your peers why each should read the book. Be sure to include information about the author, explain who the characters are and explain enough about the story so that everyone will be convinced to read your book. (Remember, do not give away the ending.) Choose an exciting, interesting or amusing passage from your book and read it to the class. Stop reading at a moment that leaves the audience hanging and add, ˇ§If you want to know what happens next, you will have to read the book.ˇ¨
