School: Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School, Foster City, CA
Planned By: Noah Cohen
Original Author: Noah Cohen, Burlingame
Timeline:
Wednesday, January 26: planning (write script, organize props, storyboard the movie)
Wednesday, February 2: production (videotape)
Wednesday, February 9: post-production (editing and turning in final video to Mr. Cohen)

Video Requirements:
Your 2-3 minute must show evidence of being a movie, not just a video.
There must be a plot and characters to your video that reflect your India grouping.
On Feb. 9, you must turn in a script, movie, and storyboard that accurately reflect what is being said and being done in the movie.
You must use a tripod for your video taping.
ALL of your scenes must be done from a fixed position.
Your camera must not move. Your camera must not zoom.
Your video must be exported as an .mov (Quicktime) file.

Recommendations:
1-Decide who will be the director in your group. This person will have the final say on any decision. That decision must be final. They must make sure everyone is on-task.
2-Dedicate one person as the camera person.
3-Dedicate one person to do the editing; they will import the recorded pieces, edit, and export the final product.
4-Dedicate one person to write the script.
5-Dedicate one person to do the storyboarding.
Everyone should have time in front of the camera.
Have fun with your plot! Think of a creative way to tell a story that ALSO demonstrates your knowledge of your India grouping.
Comments
The items selected above are all that was used in making the Buddhism example of the India Project video.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
This project was a wonderful collaboration between Social Studies work based on India's history and Technology class interests in improving video pre-production, production, and post-production.
Follow-Up
After each group presented their final project, I made a quiz using Google Forms. All the students took the test, based on what they knew from their own presentation and what they learned from the other two groups.
