|
Each student will select an element to focus on. They will make a prezi (www.prezi.com) including the following information: element name and symbol year discovered who discovered atomic weight atomic mass melting/freezing point cost per unit number protons/neutrons/electrons number of electron shells normal state uses interesting infomation
Higher level chemistry students will also include information about the element's electronegativity and other higher level concepts.
To inspire creativity, the students will act as if they are the elements' campaign managers. They will treat their presentation time as a time to "fight for their elements" in front of another class. They will also make posters and campaign for their elements all week. The second class will vote on the winning element.
