School: Gardner Grade School, Gardner, IL
Planned By: Debra Christoff
Original Author: Debra Christoff, Gardner
My 4th grade students will read a book, at their level and checkout a flip camera. They will make a book trailer (similar to a movie trailer) of the book they read. This project allows for individual creativity and exploration into technology. They will have to cover certain criteria within their trailer such as characters, setting, problems and solutions. They will then be presented to the entire class and also be shown at our Family Reading Night in March on the projector while parents and students are waiting for our program to begin.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
These video camera's can be used cross curricular for science and social studies also.
Materials: Flip Video
Other Items: 3 flip camcorders (or similar), $80 each, total of $240.00
