Planned By: Anne Corsetti

OBJECTIVES:
--Students will learn how to correctly handle, use, and care for digital cameras.
--Students will be able to upload pictures from the camera to the computer.
--Students will know how to insert pictures and sound into Windows Movie Maker.
--Students should be able to list the steps in creating a multimedia from start to finish.

Step 1: Project is introduced to the students. Teacher demonstrates how to use the camera (take pictures, zoom, delete, etc.) as students get hands on practice inside the computer lab.

Step 2: Students are divided into groups and given specific key elements of the school to photograph. (Example: Front door, principal, office, cafeteria) Each group will have a camera and a check off sheet.

Step 3: The groups return to the lab to upload their photographs onto the computer.

Step 4: Using Microsoft Word, the students will write a brief description of each of their specific photographs. Descriptions must be short, informative and inviting!

Step 5: Using Windows Movie Maker, the students will insert all of their digital photographs into a storyboard incorporating animations and transitions.

Step 6: When the multimedia is completed, the students will record their voice reading the brief descriptions that they typed on each picture. *Students must make sure that their audios match up correctly time wise with their videos.*

Step 7: When the multimedia is finished it is then published, saved, and uploaded to the school's homepage for everyone to view.

Comments
*This project gives the students a hands on experience with creating a multimedia from start to finish. All of the creativity comes from their own imagination and by using their photography and audio, we can truly get a glimpse of life at New Market through the eyes of a student.*
