Materials needed: Paper, pencil, FLIP camera, computer


- First the SLP and student decide on subject.
- The student writes out a summary of report stating: Main Idea, who, did what, where and when.
- The report is then edited by student and SLP, adding supporting details to the main idea.
- The report is video recorded using the FLIP recorder.
- SLP downloads recording into the computer.
- SLP and student review "news report" together, listening for good articulation.

Time: 3 twenty minute speech sessions.

This lesson can be used for any articulation sound. It also addresses language skills by working on summarizing, main idea, supporting details, expressive language. It could also be used with fluency student
