After studying the five senses, the students will form small cooperative groups to brainstorm all the things that they have learned about their senses. Their nose can smell..., their ears can hear...; etc.

Using their five senses they will locate and photograph things that they can hear, see, touch, smell, and taste. The students will create a photo story to teach our pre-k students about their five senses. "The students become the teachers."

With the help of parent volunteers, the school media specialist and our fourth grade partner class, the students will build a story board , plan, and begin creating their project.

The students will explore and discover ways to teach/demonstrate what the fives senses can tell us. Each group will create a mini-commercial advertising all that they have learned about the sense.

We will practice presenting our shows with each other, then perform a final production for family, friends, and invited guest.

Roll out the red carpet, the show is about to begin. We will make this a semi-formal event and offer refreshment. (making this seem to be an actual video debut) The children will be so proud of their accomplishment.
Comments
This project will lead to many more. It also can be used for any grade level if the content is changed to a grade specific concept to be learned.
Follow-Up
This projects final scene is the presentation to an audience. The children will be so proud and excited, they will be asking to do it again. Of course, the show must go on.
