Students will be able to:
Create a role playing scenario that shows bully's, victim and bystanders.
Come up with strategies that the victim can use to get help.
They will use drama/role play to demonstrate bullying and seeking help from counselor and/or principal.
They will then use the Flip video camera and record real life bullying through role play. . The role playing will involve at least 6 students. 3 bullies, 2 bystanders and 1 bully.
They will record the bully and victim meeting with a staff member to show that you can get help.
Bully will be recorded receiving a consequence.
They will record the classroom kids saying "Bullying is Not Cool. Knock it Off."
They will then create a anti-bullying video using Tool Factory Movie Maker.
The videos will air every Friday with different scenarios for the entire school to see. 1,000 kids.
The best part about this lesson is students are able to create the scenarios and tape each other. Each scenario will show some sort of bullying that is real. They will problem solve how to get help and what the consequences are. |
