Our technology project -Students asked their teachers what type of videos they would like to see, to help explain certain learning concepts, The students then create the videos.
1. The students ask their teachers what lessons or concepts they would like to see covered in a video.
2. The students work in small groups to decide what concepts they wanted to teach through video.
3. The students made a script or storyboard of the film they wanted to create to explain the concept.
4. Students (in small groups) use FLIP video cameras to film the footage for the final version of their film.
5. Students, (with the help of the teacher and one mac computer) learn how to edit the footage together to create a video that fits their vision.
6. Each group will edit their video and when they are happy with the final out come the teacher will transfer the video to Schooltube. ( With parent permission)
student videos include - Fractions/Pronouns/Angles and Earth Science projects.

Comments |
We do not have our videos loaded onto Schooltube yet, but hope to have the projects finished by the end of March. We have been asked to present our videos at the ISTE conference this summer in Philadelphia. We will be presenting a Student Showcase on June 29th. |
Cross-Curriculum Ideas |
The students have worked on math videos, health and wellness videos and grammar videos, They are working with their teachers to create videos across curriculum. |
Follow-Up |
We will be able to use these videos within our school as teaching aids and morning reminders of certain information. We can start a bank of student produced videos for teachers to use. |
