This idea is meant to include many different classrooms in the story-making process. One class can write and then act out the beginning of a story—just the first act. They would establish the characters, the setting, and the beginning of the plot (introduction and challenge the characters face). Once they have done this, they could invite another class to continue the story for them, and this would continue until the story is finished (3-5 sections or acts). The story could be passed through email from teacher to teacher, with a thumb drive, or through the school’s shared network drive, if available.
The story could also be passed from group to group within a classroom, instead of from class to class. In either case, teachers should discuss/decide beforehand the goal of making the story, i.e. emphasis on character development, proper grammar, expression, etc.
