School: Capac Elementary School, Capac, MI |
Planned By: Janet Buzzell |
Original Author: Janet Buzzell, Capac |
The 4th grade students in Mrs. Ruhmann's class will guide Mrs. Buzzell's 3rd grade students in the process of creating and presenting a poem. The 4th graders will demonstrate expression and gestures to make the poem more visible to the listener. Both groups will practice these poems. Once the practice is complete, students will then perform the poems in front of the video cameras. Following that, both classes will make DVDs of their performances. These DVDs will be presented as a gift for Mother's Day. The teachers will function as facilitators, while the students will be learning from each other. This activity will meet the Michigan GLCEs on planning, listening, presenting, and speaking. The goal of this project is to make it completely student driven. |
