1. preview the guided reading book 1a. watch a video clip on the Tablet and display on the wall in library using the projector that corresponds with the topic of the story 2. practice the phonics skill for the day 3. read the book together 4. read the book separately, several times 5. discuss comprehension 6. practice words on page without picture cues 7. answer writing prompt or a few comprehension questions 8. phonics skill reading list 9. discuss then dismiss back to class 10. the projector and tablet will also be used to run a management program called classmojo, which will allow the children to be reinforced and keep the negative behaviors to a minimum, as they are working towards their goal of "winning" and getting all their points, for exchange at the end of the week in their school store |
