Students will first learn basics of the camera.
Vocabulary words: digital, upload, focus, memory card, pixels, edit, crop.
Allow students to introduce spring to other classrooms. Students will venture outside in pairs (2 students per camera) to take photos of the beginnings of a new season (buds on trees, green grass, POLLEN, opened windows for fresh air, signs of warmer weather such as clothing, etc). Students may work together and collaborate ideas.
Students will upload pictures into their photo file and editted. Photos will then be uploaded to software program such as imovie, photostory, and such. Students will then create a "story" of signs of spring to present to other grade levels. Students will use their knowledge of creative writing, lots of adjectives, and use of editing detail (bordering pictures, cropping, use of editing tools, incorporating text boxes).
Students will save completed projects that will be uploaded to website. |
