My Students: Living in a high poverty area, my students' are facing an uphill battle. Fortunately, with the many resources available to teachers and students with regard to education, they have the opportunity to be successful and take hold of their future. Many of my student's come from single-parent families. They live in a low-socioeconomic area with little opportunity for growth. My goal is to pique my student's interests by being able to show material in a visual and appealing way that will enhance their everyday lives and help them progress in the learning process.
My Project: Having quality resources that will benefit my student's learning is vital for any teacher. It is especially important for my student's education, since we are located in a high poverty area. Using IPad’s, along with the Smart Board will be invaluable. We would be able to do research and sync up projects to the board. The project that I am hoping to do is to have the student’s create a travel itinerary using a variety of Internet resources to show maps, weather systems, lodging, restaurants, etc. They will pair up to use the IPad to do all of this and in the classroom. |
