1. Elements of Literature will be taught. Exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution.
2. The Hero's Journey literary archetype will be taught. We will examine great works of literature and movies and how those works reflect the elements of fiction and the archetype.
3. Students will create their own original hero and archetype.
4. Students will "publish" using Minecraft.

The google cardboard viewers will allow for full immersion in the students projects. |
Cross-Curriculum Ideas |
Cross curricular ties using Minecraft are endless. Society will need to be created, this calls for science, art tie in is obvious. Social Studies tie in in what makes a society thrive/fall. |
Follow-Up |
The google cardboard will also allow for virtual field trips throughout the year. Minecraft will be used in other units as appropriate. |
