As an introduction I will take a picture of each student, and print them out. They will then map their own Genomes from the picture and what their parents look like. (Ie Hair color, detached ear lobes, eye color etc) Next the student will use this skill to make a monster by spinning a spinner to see what a monster may look like. Students will then use a Punnet square and a set of characteristics to spin and see what characteristic their monster will have. Each set of characteristics have a genome. After their monster is created they then will pair up with an another student and combine their monsters traits and spin to see what characteristic their offspring may have. The student will then have to draw what they think their monster will look like. |
