The Water Cycle

Teacher Preparation: Prepare and set up all material and supplies needed for experiment under a document camera, so they are easily viewed by all students.

Engagement: The students will view an animated video clip of the Water Cycle. The students will record a video singing the water cycle song, and upload it to the school website.

Explore: The students will observe all materials under the document camera, this allows them to fully view the water cycle experiment. The camera will also be used to record the experiment demonstration. The class recording will be uploaded to the class Seesaw app, so that parents may be able to view and leave voice over comments.

Explain:
The students will be separated into groups. After explaining each item to the students used in the experiment, the demonstration will begin. As we conduct the experiment as a class, student volunteers will recording our activity. We are using clear cylinders, water, shaving cream, and blue food coloring to create precipitation.

Elaborate: The student will create a video of group members performing the experiment, and explaining each step.

Evaluate:
The student will attach their group experiment to a QR code, and complete a water cycle graphic organizer.
