Students need to be prepared for the 21st century. Alas, they are currently receiving instruction more properly tailored to the 19th century. “Teaching to the test” has only taught us that students are leaving school unprepared for the age of innovation. Amplify is reimagining the way students (and teachers) learn. Amplify provides students with an open learning platform within an all-in-one tablet designed for k-12 students.

With these tablets students can increase their digital acumen while mastering skills outlined in the Common Core standards. Common Core emphasizes “integrated literacy. “ Students can truly integrate literacy through the use of an open learning platform that differentiates instruction to meet the individual needs of every student.

Furthermore, these tablets would give the teacher the opportunity to lead instruction on such relevant topics as coding, which has proven to be a popular topic in the McKinley 6th Grade in previous years only to be ended due to lack of resources.
