Most of my students live in subsidized housing or homeless shelters. They have witnessed more in their young lives than anyone should have to. They don’t have the opportunity to try out new technology. I’d like to raise enough money to buy a laptop charging station, laptops, Photoshop for the laptops and digital cameras. I want my kids integrated into the new media of their generation. They are the true millennials, and without access to computer applications, my students risk once again engaging in a socioeconomic marathon with other students who are savvy and prepared. With the proper technology, my students will begin on a creative path where the surface is a bit more level.
