I am a second grade inclusion teacher. As a member of our STEAM (Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts, and Mathematics) committee, our initiative is to motivate and educate teachers on how to effectively incorporate STEAM in the classroom and across all content areas. As a teacher, who frequently teaches content, aligned with STEAM, I recognize how vital it is to incorporate the technology component in the classroom. Technology is our future and it is a skill all students will need to possess. If we receive a classroom set of Ipads, we will use them in all content areas. Additionally, they will be used during our design team groups. Students in design teams will use them to plan and create both 2Dimensional and 3Dimensional models of their projects. Additionally, they will use them to document, record, and take pictures of their designs.
