This grant is being requested to purchase iPad’s for the classroom so that students can use them to create presentations for the content they are learning. Several activities will be completed with the use of the iPad’s. Using the iMovie application students will create a book trailer, a how-to video, commercial, and documentary. The book trailers will be presented in a bistro style where parents and school/district staff will be invited. The how-videos will be presented in a similar manner. The commercial will be used to advertise an exhibition that the students will showcase their discoveries of social studies concepts learned throughout the year.
