I am a 7th grade math working in a Title 1 school 82% of our students eligible for free/reduced lunch. Most students do not have access to computers at home to practice math skills. I instruct students in a flipped classroom setting that helps with retention of math skills as they can do homework in school with access to me & support of technology. My motto is "Learn correctly to learn perfectly” which applies in this setting. Last year my students made great gains; however, I did run into technology barriers in some instances where students could not watch the instructional videos at home and then apply the content next day in class. I would love to get a class set of Chrome Books to help with the videos and learning online. Most of the state tests are done online and learning on paper and pencil and then going to take an online test can be challenging.
