I would love to teach more computer science to my middle school students. One way I have thought to do this is by getting them excited about Virtual Reality. I believe if we could purchase a Oculus Quest and some applications that support this software, my students could design games, there are coding apps that go with this tool, and this help them better understand how to use and master modern technology. They might even decide to pursue a career in computer science because of such an exposure. I believe a middle school science teachers must build interest and passion as a segue to deeper content learning.
