This fund raiser is to bring portable technology to the classroom. The students are writing and designing their own short video tutorials and movies to bring chemistry concepts to life in a memorable audio-visual experience! We are raising funds to purchase additional flip video cameras, editing software and tripods. The "Chem ROCKS!" project will impact not just current students, it will be a legacy they leave to help future students learn and master Chemistry! While not all students will go on to careers that involve Chemistry, all students benefit from learning Chem by developing their ability to think critically, analyze and interpret data, use a scientific approach to find solutions and increase their use of creativity in their approach to problem solving. Chemistry is the perfect course for allowing students to learn through inquiry and experimentation.

Why I Teach: I teach Chemistry with the goal of all students learning how to solve problems and work through challenges. Even if a student never takes a science class in college, they will learn how to systematically approach and solve problems in all areas of academics and life.
