I work with approximately 36 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. I teach English language learners and the majority of my students do not have access to technology at home. What many people do not realize is that my students do not only have to learn to speak English, but they also have to learn how to read, write, listen, and speak in academic English in order for them to be successful in their adult lives. I want start all of my students out with a world class education and I believe that having iPads in my classroom will help me to begin to provide them with the language and 21st century skills that they will need to be successful now and in the future. I am hoping to buy at least six iPads so that if I have groups of six. I would like for each student to have their own iPad. This will allow me to work with each student at their own level.
