My students would benefit greatly from an ipad2! I work with over 70 students a day who are English Language Learners. So many second language learners lag behind their classmates because they lack the vocabulary to keep up with the new learning. Ipads have hundreds of free apps that we can use to practice new vocabulary, make videos demonstrating those new words, and much, much more! There are dictionary apps, encyclopedias, apps that allow students to build their own flashcards!

Why I Teach: I teach because I grew up as a child living in abuse and extreme poverty. I had very few people in my life who saw more than just an impoverished little girl, but those people placed value on me and that was enough to encourage me to want to make a difference for other children with financial and language hurdles!
