Inner city school in need of a new computer lab. This money will help us purchase a 36 seat computer lab, so our students can use technology as a tool to learn core subjects. Some of the initiatives we want to implement include 21st century skills collaborative projects that require research, higher level thinking and promote problem solving skill development. Some of this projects require the use of technology to successfully create and present these projects to faculty and peers. It would also help our inner city students develop technology skills by using word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software as well as keyboarding development. In addition we plan to use the lab to teach our community at large on how to use computers to further develop their employment opportunities.
